('73) CZ 'Puki' or 'MID-VALLEY CZ' 250MX - Next to a true works CZ, this could be one of the rarest CZ's
in existence. THIS IS EITHER A VERY EARLY PROTOTYPE PUKI OR POSSIBLY A MID-VALLEY CZ PRIVATEER BIKE. Starting right around
1977, the Italian company PUKI came up with the idea to take left over CZ's and trick them out into real privateer style
'works' bikes. Much like Wheelsmith Maico's, Uptite Huskys, FMF, DG, Moto-X Fox, etc; this was the CZ version of those types
of bikes. Some of the trick equipment they used were GEM reed cage with Mikuni carb, magnesium Marzocchi forks & triples,
custom drilled aluminum front brake stay, very rare & unusual air shocks (KYB's?), beautiful machining and finning work
on head so as to be able to use their trick, hand welded coned up-pipe with aluminum silencer, case mounted roller mods for
long travel suspension, custom rear brake stay and chain guide, etc. The welding and gusseting on swingarm/frame mods are
true works of art and powdercoated red. Aluminum Falta tank with leather strap is in great shape and has been dished
out at both front corners to allow full left/right turn of larger diameter Marzocchi forks. KTM style seat,
lengthened and reinforced swingarm. Engine has been extensively ported and modified with very unusual 3 hole piston port design
for reed valves. Bike is in remarkably good shape and as far as I can tell IS ALL ORIGINAL. Still has aluminum bars, Oury
grips, All Magura controls, Vintage Viking brand side number plates, vintage Barum front and Metzler rear tires (replaced
with new reproduction knobbies), etc. Bike has been FULLY RESTORED. This thing is rare, trick, and super cool; I've NEVER
seen another one. Frame #980-7-006094. Engine #980-10-00420. Engine cases still wearing their trademark blue Puki paint
stripe. $13,500.00
